The consortium forms a balanced team with a high potential for generation of scientific and industrial knowledge. Foreign leading experts like IMEC will cooperate within this program. The large industrial partners are able to define the future requirements of this MEMPHIS technology by analysing future applications. The research program will be focused on applications, covering a large market area. SMEs will profit from these networks too. The universities use their specific knowledge and experiences to research complementary on some of the work packages, although focus on general knowledge will accelerate in particular R&D subjects like heterogeneous merge and wafer processing. The complementary equipment suppliers are well known with the world wide market too.
The next step in electronic-photonic processing will help them at least a technological and economical step ahead.
