- General Assembly and seminar; October 7th
Friday October 7th, there will be the next General Assembly and Memphis seminar. Topics to be presented will concern progress, valorisation and Memphis II. All work packages will be presenting a poster and are able to receive an award for it. During the seminar, several speakers will be presenting their most important achievements within Memphis.

- PARADIGM MultiProjectWafer (MPW) training on semicommercial PIC technology Indium Phosphide
The PARADIGM MultiProjectWafer (MPW) training on semicommercial PIC technology Indium Phosphide (InP) will be held on 25-27 July 2011 at PhoeniX Software, Enschede, The Netherlands. This 3-day course covers technology, devices, design, examples, supply chain and MPW operations at Oclaro and FhG/HHI, with packaging's services are offered by CIP Photonics.

The next General Assembly will be held on October 7th, 2011. This Assembly includes a seminar where poster presentations will be given. Poster prices will be awarded.

- MultiProjectWafer (MPW) workshop on commercial PIC technology TriPleX
LioniX and PhoeniX organize a TriPleX MPW training and workshop. The MultiProjectWafer (MPW) workshop on commercial PIC technology TriPleX will be held on 30 June-1 July 2011 at LioniX BV, Enschede, The Netherlands.
If you want to participate in the workshop and/or the MPW training you are kindly requested to register by sending an email to mpw@lionixbv.nl. Please do so before June 23.
The TriPleX MPW run for this year is only accessible for Memphis's project partners.
The training will use PhoeniX Design Kit for TriPleX.

- Memphis @ Laser World of Photonics
LASER World of PHOTONICS is the most important marketplace and the most constructive think tank for the global laser and photonics industry. It features more than 1,000 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and gives you a complete overview of all the latest trends and applications.
Memphis will be present at the Laser event in the New Munich Trade Fair Centre in München from 23 - 26 May 2011. A booth will be hosted at the Holland area, Hall C1, Stand 309.

- Article Memphis in Mikroniek Magazine
In Mikroniek Magazine 2010 Vol. 50 - Issue 3, an article about the Memphis subprogramme "Production Processes and Equipment" is published. The article is available for download by clicking the image

- Midterm Review, September 9th and 10th
On September 9th and 10th 2010, the midterm review of the Memphis project will take place. A committee will evaluate the project by reviewing and discussing the achievements so far. The progress of the project will be evaluated to see if all work is on schedule and where to adjust prospective activities.
- ECIO 2010 (7- 9 April 2010)
Ian White and Richard Penty from the University of Cambridge, Engineering Department are pleased to welcome you to the 15th European Conference on Integrated Optics.
ECIO 2010 will take place in the historic City of Cambridge at the Computer Laboratory, situated in the west of the City - part of the University dedicated to Technology and Physical Sciences.
The aim of ECIO 2010 is to provide a forum where experts from both industrial and academic communities, within integrated optics and nanophotonics, can exchange new ideas and latest findings. For more inforation: www.ecio2010.eu.

- Fotonica Evenement 2010
Het "Fotonica Evenement 2010" will be held on Tuesday 30th of March 2010. It is a platform for knowledge and networks for the photonics industry in the Netherlands. The event will take place in Nieuwegein’s Business Center (NBC) in Nieuwegein.

- MEMPHIS' second seminar
On Friday 25th of September, the MEMPHIS consortium held it's second seminar. At the seminar over 80 MEMPHIS participants presented their, so far achieved, results in the project. It also was the ideal opportunity for MEMPHIS participants to discuss research results with other researchers within the consortium. In the afternoon 5 guest speakers gave their vision on photonic/electronic integration. All work packages competed in a poster presentation of their work. This year the annual poster prize was awarded to work package A5 on Raman Spectroscopy. Click here to see pictures of the event.
